This homestay is inspired by buildings in Santorini. Painted in bright blue and white stripes, the villa exudes an energizing and inviting welcome with it’s cute and bright exterior designs. Located in Sekinchan, a small town in Sabak Bernam, Malaysia along the coastal Federal Route 5, Sekinchan Santorini Villa is a new establishment which was completed in 2014 and is run independently by an individual owner. Hence, there is no reception desk and guests will have to show up for a meet and greet session to collect their keys and follow up on any further details regarding their stay.
The 3-star villa offers comfort in style for those traveling on business or holiday in the town of Sabak Bernam. The villa is readily equipped with facilities that promise convenience such as car park, restaurant, shops and shared lounge/TV area. If touring around the city by foot or by car doesn’t attract you, the villa offers bicycle rental as another fun and affordable option. If you are expecting all the rooms to be equally painted in light blue and white stripes, you may or may not be disappointed that it is not. The villa has different rooms in different themes and designs – some are in different shades of blue with large deep sea creature paintings, religious architectural backgrounds and some in pink and others in plain white and blue.
The lounge area has comfortable, tacky and unusual colorful printed sofas making you want to sit around even when there are no interesting programmes playing on the TV. Some rooms offer balcony, air conditioning, modern bathrooms, air conditioning or fan and a choice of non-smoking rooms. Guests with family can easily while away a few hours keeping the children entertained at the children’s playground area. There is also an outdoor seating area with a tables, chairs and an umbrella for shade by the corner for reading, drinking or relaxing in open air.
It is good to note that credit cards are not accepted by the establishment and a cash deposit of RM300 is applied upon check-in for charges or damages and is returned upon checking out. Guests with children between the ages of 4 and 11 years old would need an extra bed which comes in a form of a mattress. Guests over the age of 11 years old are considered as adults. The Santorini Villas has a check-in time of after 3pm and a check-out time at 12pm. If however a guest makes a booking of more than 5 rooms, different policies and addional supplents may apply.
Sekinchan, known for it’s green lush rice paddy fields that spreads out across is one of the major rice producing areas in the country.
